SnapSaver ("the App", "we", "us") is a mobile media utility app designed to download public social media videos, photos, stories, and statuses directly to your Android device, as well as convert videos to MP3 files.

This Privacy Policy details how data is handled by the App, local storage usage, advertising integrations, and your privacy rights.

1. Data Handling & Local Processing

No Server Storage by SmartLayer Solutions

SnapSaver requires no user registration, logins, or user accounts. SmartLayer Solutions does not operate media storage servers or harvest personal identity data.

  • Downloaded Files: All downloaded videos, photos, and converted audio files are processed locally and saved directly to your device's internal storage or gallery directory.
  • Local Library: Download history and media previews are maintained locally on your device within the app's local storage and are never uploaded to any external server.

2. App Permissions

The App requests standard Android permissions strictly required to save files and display notifications:

  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Needed on compatible Android versions to write downloaded files to your gallery or music folders.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required on Android 13+ to notify you of download progress, completion status, and background tasks.
  • INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to process public media links and display non-intrusive advertisements.

3. Third-Party Services & Advertising (Appodeal)

SnapSaver displays advertisements served through Appodeal as our primary ad mediation platform.

  • Appodeal and its ad network partners may collect non-personal technical data (such as Google Advertising ID, IP address, device model, system version, and ad interaction data) to serve contextual and personalized ads.

  • You can manage or opt out of personalized ad tracking in your device settings: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Reset/Delete Advertising ID.

4. Children's Privacy

SnapSaver is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
